Food & Friends provides medically-tailored meals, nutrition counseling, and friendship to people living with AIDS, cancer, and other life-challenging illnesses. Our team of sixty employees and thousands of volunteers delivers meals and hope to people living in the District of Columbia and several counties across Maryland and Virginia. There is no charge or income qualification for our services, which are rendered solely on the basis of medical need.
We seek a Client Services Director to supervise Client Services staff and coordinate daily client activities. Reporting to the Director of Program Services, the Client Services Director will:
This is a Tuesday thru Saturday position with daytime working hours.
The successful candidate will have an MSW or MA in a relevant field and at least 5 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of two years of supervisory experience. Other requirements include a valid driver’s license; knowledge of the public health or sociological implications of living with major illnesses such as HIV/AIDS and/or cancer; strong communication skills, including skill in public speaking; knowledge of basic math, statistics, and recordkeeping; comfort and ability to use a computer, including client management information systems; and an appreciation for diversity.
