Development Operations Coordinator

Founded in 1988, Food & Friends provides medically-tailored meals, nutrition support, and friendship to people living with AIDS, cancer, and other life-challenging illnesses. Our team of sixty employees and thousands of volunteers delivers meals and hope to people living in the District of Columbia and multiple counties across Maryland and Virginia. There is no charge or income qualification for our services, which are rendered solely on the basis of medical need.

We are seeking a Development Operations Coordinator to work with our Raiser’s Edge NXT database. Reporting to the Development Operations Director, the Coordinator will:

  • process donor gifts using Raiser’s Edge NXT (database view);
  • import data into Raiser’s Edge NXT (database view), and run data syncs to maintain integration with other software databases;
  • prepare and mail donor acknowledgment letters and tribute acknowledgments;
  • generate donor reports, database queries, and donor lists;
  • answer routine donor inquiries via e-mail and phone;
  • assist with monthly reconciliation process between Accounting and Development; and
  • serve as back-up to Development Operations Director in all aspects of Raiser’s Edge NXT including reports, queries, imports, and exports.

The successful candidate will have a BA/BS, and at least one year of nonprofit development or CRM experience. Experience with Raiser’s Edge NXT strongly preferred. Additional requirements include ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment; superb attention to detail; outstanding communication skills; a keen sense for customer service; ability to multi-task; and an appreciation for diversity. Must be willing to work in a traditional office environment.
