Corporate Engagement
Whether you call it corporate social responsibility, corporate citizenship or employee engagement, our goal is to provide opportunities that meet your corporate giving and employee engagement priorities.
Food & Friends’ corporate partnerships include employee volunteering, corporate sponsorship of events, direct corporate grants to programs, workplace giving and matching gifts, as well as leadership opportunities on our Board of Directors, our Leadership Council or through our Emerging Leaders Network.

Volunteering & Employee Engagement
Volunteering at Food & Friends is a meaningful way for corporate leaders to engage employees. It is easy to see the difference in staff engagement even small efforts can make. We encourage you to make Food & Friends a part of your own corporate social responsibility and employee engagement strategy.
Food & Friends will provide a full orientation upon arrival to ensure a successful day for your group.
Ways To Engage
Volunteering
We rely on volunteer groups to help prepare and package our meals in the kitchen and deliver meals to our clients’ doors. We would love to host your corporate group at Food & Friends for a great day of team building while serving our neighbors. Food & Friends will provide a full orientation upon arrival to ensure a successful day for your group.
Leadership Committee
The Leadership Committee consists of 25-30 business leaders and community members who work with Food & Friends staff to raise corporate and individual sponsorships through their personal and professional networks in support of the Chef's Best Dinner & Auction. If you are interested in joining the committee, please contact Lisa Huffman, Director of Philanthropic Partnerships at Lhuffman@foodandfriends.org.
Workplace Giving
You can designate Food & Friends through your employer’s Workplace Giving Campaign. When you designate Food & Friends, you designate nutritious meals for people in need. Workplace giving is an easy way for individuals to give — and with payroll deductions, your gift can be spread out over an entire year.
Food & Friends participates in the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC #52114) and the United Way (UW #8429) as well as private giving campaigns throughout the year.
If you are scheduling an event at your place of business and would like more information about Food & Friends, or a representative to speak to your employees, please contact Lisa Huffman at lhuffman@foodandfriends.org. We will be happy to share information with you about our clients, services, and volunteer and giving opportunities.
Our Partnerships
Food & Friends is proud to have Wegmans Food Markets as our Premiere Sponsor for Thanksgiving Day.
Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Foundation is in partnership with Food & Friends to provide 29,000 additional medically tailored meals to Virginia residents living with diabetes and/or heart disease, and who are facing food insecurity. Food & Friends will track data and report on the key health outcomes for the additional adults and children receiving medically tailored meals and nutrition therapy made possible by this partnership. This initiative will support the health and nourishment of 363 neighbors living with serious illnesses in the Food & Friends service area in Virginia and support an additional 63 individuals over three years.
