On April 19, we celebrated the dedication and achievements of our inspiring supporters at the Annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner and Awards Ceremony.
Our volunteers are neighbors helping neighbors. Because of their diligent work, Food & Friends prepared, packed, and delivered 1.9 million medically tailored meals to neighbors in need in 2023. Last year, our volunteers contributed 66,773 hours of their time to our mission.
It was an honor to commemorate the contributions of so many. We also bestowed the President’s Volunteer Service Award, the highest national honor recognizing outstanding commitment. This year, we celebrated key volunteer achievements including:
Milestone Year Awards
5 years – 9 volunteers
10 years – 4 volunteers
15 years – 6 volunteers
President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA)
Bronze – 85 volunteers have served 11,862.5 hours – (100-249 hours required for adults)
Silver – 19 volunteers have served 5,502 hours – (250 – 499 hours required for adults)
Gold – 2 volunteers have served 1333.25 hours – (500+ hours required for adults)
